If everyone listened...
There's so much to be heard in silence
Like the pain from verbal violence
There's no use trying to stay quiet
When deep down you're a riot
There's no use zipping your lips
When you're down in the pits
When there's only darkness around
When you've nearly drowned
There's so much to be said but nothing to be heard
There's so much disease which could easily be cured
If people became more humane
There'd be an end to all this pain
If they all spent a little more time
The amount of crime
Would be set into a rapid decline
You might see me as a love fighter
But when someone listens and understands
There's nothing that makes a soul lighter
Just open your ears
Listen to everyone's fears
Wipe away their tears
And next time when your down
There will be another
To lift you up and break that frown
If everyone listened
The world would be blissful
