Poetic Short Story: The Shrimp
WARNING! THIS POEM/STORY CONTAINED DARK HUMOR. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Heya, fellow steemians and otakus! It's me again, @yuki-nee for another [Poetic Short Story] titled, "The Shrimp"
There was once an arrogant shrimp, whose shells are redder, and shinier than other shrimp. The arrogant shrimp liked showing off his shiny shell, as if the others cannot tell. The other shrimps hated his arrogance, truly so, but are helpless, and there's really nothing they could do...
But one day the arrogant shrimp stray too far, and saw some humans fishing from afar. The arrogant shrimp noticed that they are shell-less foes, with but little shells on their fingers, and toes. "So unsightly" is what the shrimp thought, and dashes towards them without a second thought!
The arrogant shrimp wanted to show off its red, and shiny shell, only to see a huge net fell! The shrimp wanted to struggle, but it cannot move, and could only wiggle. A human then haul the net, and a red shrimp fall on his feet. The fisherman looked at the plump, and healthy looking shrimp with delight. This shrimp will absolutely taste alright!
Soon the shrimp was served on the table, it was grilled, and taste, truly was delectable. And so the arrogant shrimp's wish to show off was granted, the humans did praised it as it wanted...
