// The Sad Reality Of the Venezuelan People //

in #politics6 years ago (edited)

One of my coworkers whom I have more esteem dreams of knowing Los Roques. In general, very few people around me ask me about my country, and from a conversation I had with Manuel Tovar I decided not to talk about it if someone did not ask me. (I can explain the reasons for what Manuel made me think).

The truth is that this co-worker, with the soul of a traveler, love of Latin America and a noble heart that is easy to perceive, is always interested in the situation in Venezuela.

I explain to him that if he wants to go to Los Roques he can do it, and he will not know much about reality, because if there is anything in Venezuela it is that absurd gift of carrying diametrically opposed realities in one place, to show this earthly paradise where tourists do not they perceive the famine of the hills of the capital, nor the patients who die for lack of treatment.

My colleague argues that it would make him feel very bad to go to have fun in a place where he knows that his inhabitants have such a bad time, and his consideration gives me some comfort.

He always asks me if I have news, and if things were fixed: I usually respond: "you will know that things were fixed the day you do not see me sitting in this chair anymore".

Today on the other hand, when he approached me and said: Hai news? I offered to show him a picture, but not before warning him that it was shocking. He accepted, and this is the picture.

Instantly or as we would say here: "sudden" the voice broke, and I could not imagine that the photo did not correspond to the holocaust, for example. "He told me: you stay here, here you are well and you count on us" taking my shoulder in a very fraternal way, gestures that I always thank.

However, I explained to him that images as you are fill us with impotence, and I know that many of us can not do "almost nothing" about it. Every day the genocidal government takes stronger measures to "make sure" that our people literally die of hunger. How difficult to seek to understand ourselves how we got here.

Of all this, I allow myself to rescue three things:

  1. We can not change the reality of the world, nor hide that we live in an unjust and unbalanced planet, but we can change or help the reality of at least "one person" and for that person you will help the world. So let's take compromise in our possibilities with at least one action and be constant in it.

  2. Let's be an example. It is not good to overwhelm others with our reality, which weighs on our backs, it is not up to each person to force to know what is happening in Venezuela or in other countries in crisis, but if we do have an opportunity: we sensitize. If as a humanity we take and invite others to make contact with disadvantaged realities, this will undoubtedly be a more solidary place where we all need to live.

  3. Do not expect fraternity or friendly treatment of all, especially I refer to those who have emigrated, but when we receive a fraternal gesture, thank you, and show that open the door to Venezuelans is a success because we come to contribute, not to spoil.

Images like this take away my sleep and it fills me with guilt that I can not do more than share it, because it seems to me that it is something yellowish to spread without contributing. But my purpose remains that: to sensitize, to remind all the tricolors with stars what happens at this moment our brothers and that we are not forgotten in Maiquetía that we are one people, wherever we are. The most important thing: help someone, decide who you, family or non-family, friend or stranger: help, simply collaborate, extend your hand ... and the world will be, without a doubt, a better place for everyone.

We find ourselves stuck in an economic crisis that does not give breathing to an immediate solution, this accompanied by the political problems that generate a slowness to possible solutions. The Opposition and the Officialism have been in charge of general chaos in the Venezuelan population, with their inefficiency in not solving the problems that daily drown the common citizen, they have focused on a fight of children where they do not know who is better or worse. The opposition in the parliamentary elections of December 2015, emerged as winners, thanks to the support that gave the people in giving that vote of confidence to this political group, which for years is promising a change, but instead of working for and for the people, they focused on getting revenge on the ruling party, with absurd decisions and thus lost in a direction that according to them, was to bring a change to the country. Added to that the ruling party using its power took advantage and against attack, removing the opposition from the national assembly.

The Venezuelan is already at the limit with this situation, we do not see an immediate exit to this enormous economic problem, day after day, many of the young people choose to leave the country, looking for a better life style for their families, that youth with dreams and goals. That Venezuela is losing because of the lack of manliness of a government that no longer cares about its country and wants to consume what little we have left.

Unfortunately we are under pressure that does not leave us alone, and every day we wonder if this will improve. We see that the road to change is uphill and we have a long way to go and fight.

Faith and hope is what keeps the Venezuelan standing, as always struggling to move our families forward.
In addition to the economic problems, lack of food and medicine. We struggle with the constant lack of our public services such as water, which different sectors of Venezuela last up to 3 months without water, or electricity.

This generates great concern in our communities, affecting in the worst way children who are not to blame for all this disaster.

The problem of sewage that affects the poorest neighborhoods of Venezuela, which bring with them a series of diseases that protect the common citizen from leaving their homes until the problem is solved, which usually takes weeks.

I feel so helpless in this situation, to see how every day we lie in the face with false promises, which only aim to win votes. They forget that people who put them in power, who sacrifice so that their families can have a plate of food on their table.

For many of us, there is still that passion for wanting a change, not only expressing it with words but with facts, taking to the streets to fight for our country, working more and more for the welfare of the entire community.

A country that has much to offer, its people are the friendliest of Latin America always willing to help the visitor and leave the name of our country at the top, is our law. In recent years we have gone through a myriad of problems in the economic field, which have affected our economy and our pockets.

Sort:

It has already started the flocking of the youngsters out of the country.

On the neighboring islands I saw so many Venezuelan people all of a sudden and the thing is.. I can understand them..maybe I would do the same

much respect to you that you are staying and trying to improve the situation

Many of my friends have left their jobs and family to look for a better economic future to take home a plate of food. I have faith that this will improve and that my country will rise, as does the fenix bird. @karinxxl

Yes that is sad.

the crude reality. @kandywriter

Most of the economy that drives the Bolivar and essential needs of the Venezuelan people in the hands of the state for control and the redistribution according to need?

It's a corporate-bankster takeover and the people are left in poverty!

The government of Nicolas Madura, has the economic control of the country, nothing is produced in Venezuela for lack of investment, and most importantly the companies that once made life in my country no longer want to work here for fear of having their Business.

The salary of a person in Venezuela is enough to buy a kilo of cheese, we are going through a very difficult situation, children dying of hunger, security is a problem, the Venezuelan lives in fear. @nzfxtrader
