Voting Away from Democrats and Republicans

in #politics5 years ago

Mid term elections are upon us. There are lots of people who are frustrated with ‘the corrupt duopoly’.

If you are a traditional Democrat or Republican or someone who doesn’t vote because you believe your vote doesn’t count, let me attempt to persuade you to change...

Here is a video of my viewpoint:

This is very interesting to listen about, since I work with politics in Europe and I see problems among both of the parties when it comes to collectivist, populist and authoritarian political behavior. But will you still vote for somebody, at least for an individual that you admire in politics? Is there anybody as Gerry Johnson taking place during midterms? Or any green, ecologist candidates? I also think that both GOP and Dems have lost much of their "golden circle", ideas and meaning of existence. Personally I am voting during European Parliament elections in May 2019.

There a numerous alternative candidates - usually a libertarian is available to vote for...

I am curious. Are there any libertarian candidates that favor one or the both of the following ideas?

a) Universal Basic Income policy
b) free immigration or open borders policy

One of my favorite intellectuals in USA in Bryan Caplan

Judging by that cover, I'd say Melania is next in line. xD

Now, I don't really agree with you; the "duopoly" is a thing inherent to Mankind. We are dual. We are binary. The duality is not an invention of Dems and Reps. It's been with us for a looooong time, and will be there at the end.

If forced to pick sides, which we are, then I'd go with the Republican party. They are much more interested in the wellbeing of Americans than nasty Dems. These last ones only care about their seats in power, and will go even to the extent of supporting dictatorships like the ones in Venezuela and Persia to achieve that.

If, which we are, forced to pick a side, we must choose freedom and democracy. The only party that fully supports such a thesis, that backs oppressed people thru and thru (even in my homeland of Venezuela, where a group of thugs have kidnapped the populace) has a name: GOP.
