Michael Gove faces pressure to launch UK-wide bottle deposit scheme as Scotland introduces 20p refund scheme in the war against plastic
Money will be refunded to consumers who return the containers to stores
Environment Secretary urged to follow suit to boost recycling in England
Scottish Parliament intends to introduce legislation for the scheme this year
It will cover plastic, glass, aluminium and steel drinks containers up to 3 litres.

any one remember the system we had of a man coming around with glass reusable bottles of milk and collecting the empty s driven by electric.

the big businesses put them out of business now they want a pat on the back for introducing deposit on bottles, we had that as well! on reusable bottles, stopped again by producing disposable plastic bottles.

so globalist big corporation make a problem, the blame is shifted to customers not recycling, their puppets get browny points for a problem we would not have if the corporation did not make it and we still end up paying for it!

are the producers going to be challenged to switch to alternatives we already have?

redleaf’s new bottles include a biodegradable additive that allows the plastic to biodegrade in any microbial condition. The additive is a combination of true organic compound coming from oil and other nutrients found in the environment. There is no known taste, flavor, or smell of the additive imparted to BIO Bottles, and it does not change the physical characteristics of the PET, meaning it can still be recycled at traditional facilities.
