Australian experts begin to prescribe mandatory exercise for all cancer patients

Now, a group of Australian cancer experts want to go further and are launching a "world-first" position statement calling for exercise to be prescribed to all cancer patients as part of their routine treatment. The Clinical Oncology Society of Australia (COSA) has prepared the Exercise in Cancer Care paper, which states doctors should prescribe particular exercise regimes and refer patients to exercise specialists with experience in cancer care.

My thoughts on this news

This is great news, it is good to see that doctors are finally seeing the benefits of exercise. According to this study they have evidence that shows exercise can help heal people from cancer. There is plenty of evidence already out there that cancer can be cured and prevented in most people by a healthy diet and exercise. It is good to see that doctors in some countries are getting on board and forcing patients to change their lifestyles instead of just pumping them full of drugs/pills. Curing cancer is a huge money maker for the healthcare industry but the reality is that for most people cancer can be prevented simply with making healthy lifestyle choices like a well balanced diet and regular exercise...
