Majority of Americans Do Not Want the USA to Withdraw from Iran Deal

in #politics6 years ago

Almost two-thirds of Americans -- 63% -- believe that the US should not withdraw from the agreement made with Iran to prevent the country from developing nuclear weapons. Only 29% believe the US should withdraw, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS.

My thoughts on this article

The majority of Americans are sick and tired of never ending wars and spending billions of dollars every year on the military and wars that do not benefit the American people at all. All these wars just put the American people into more and more debt and financial destruction of the US government. Trump just keeps saying how bad the Iran deal is but he never explains what is so bad about it nor does he offer another solution. Trump is clueless, he just wants to reverse another Obama policy.

Sort:

He's actually factually correct. The US didn't gift Iran with money, they finally settled a longstanding debt. There's nothing partisan about truth.

Iran paid the US $400,000,000 in the 1970s to build them some jets but the Iran Hostage Crisis intervened and we became official enemies for a while. What some people are calling a 'gift' or a 'bribe' was a debt it took us 4 decades to get around to paying back.

Bring the downvotes so I can count the dems here!

Yep, the money the US gave to Iran already belonged to Iran
