Tears Of A Citizen: A Cry For A Good Governance

We voted for people that would give us life, we end up having people that will take our ailing lives.

They promised us heaven, yet they could not give us a liveable earth. They gave us hope before they got to the seat of power only for them to erase the hope from our minds as they got to their desired positions.

I remember so well, when the politicians came to neighborhood for campaigns. They alongside their sugarcoated mouths. They said the unfed shall be fed. The unclothed shall be clothed. The unsheltered shall be sheltered. The uneducated shall be educated. The poor shall be helped. The orphans shall be cared for.

We failed to realize what they meant. That the opposite of what they say is what they were promising us. Now the fed have been unfed. The clothed are now walking naked. The sheltered are now homeless. The educated are turning to illiterates. The rich are now poor. And the happy family are loosing their parents.

Nature has shown us its kindness. She gave us enviable portion of mineral deposits. Enough to cater for our ever growing population. But we tasked the wrong hands to manage these resources. And in no time, our resources are being sold to the foreign lands.

When shall these sufferings end!?
When shall the help come from above!?
When shall change come!?

We do not need a foreign aid. All we need is a good governance!
