I received an e-mail this morning from 0x project.

it goes thus:

How to participate in the PLX Genesis Distribution:

First of all, we’d like to thank the guys over at Pollux for integrating the ZRX contract into their Genesis event - this meaning that any holder of ZRX can apply to receive PLX tokens.

INTRODUCTION:

Pollux Network Token Genesis Distribution (TGD) refers to the free distribution of the ERC-20 standard native token - PLX. Unlike most projects in the cryptographic or blockchain space, we are not issuing our token through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO);

A set number of 10,000,000 PLX tokens will be distributed to registered applicants, free of any charge, starting on November 28, 22:00:00 UTC.

KYC/AML procedures are not mandatory and will not be applied for the TGD. Any individual can register for the distribution, as we are not conducting an ICO or securities offering of any sort and there is no central body holding a majority of tokens or pre-mine currency.

Decentralization is key to the project’s success. Pollux is a community oriented project and will be managed and owned by the community.

PLX: ERC-20 compliant token

• serves as a currency for the open marketplace built by Pollux Network;

• used for operating nodes (min. req. 10,000 PLX);

• can be staked for dividends simply and securely with Pollux wallet;

• can be morphed into other ERC standard tokens (available after mainnet launch);

• can be wrapped (WPLX) for interaction with relayers such as 0x;

• ensures voting rights (democratisation);

The maximum supply is set by default to 100,000,000. The community may vote to change the initial supply or even morph the ERC-20 into another ERC standard token after mainnet launch.

Token value will be set by the decentralized market, Pollux Network having no control over the price or supply of the PLX token.

WALLET:

Pollux wallet, available in web & desktop version, is a powerful, safe and easy to use interface to interact with the blockchain, similar to other wallets, such as MyEtherWallet, Mist, Metamask.

The wallet allows you to manage ETH and ERC-20, ERC-223, ERC-621, ERC-721, ERC-827 tokens, contribute to ICOs, create contracts and tokens.

Pollux wallet allows running nodes and staking for the PLX token.

REGISTRATION:

Registration for the Pollux Network Token Genesis Distribution is available starting November 28, 22:00:00 UTC. To receive PLX, register with an existing Ethereum address, holding Ether or ZRX, or even both.

Zero-balance wallets will not receive tokens, as speculative or multi-address registration is not our priority.

DISTRIBUTION:

All registered addresses will receive PLX tokens immediately after registration.
Distribution starts November 28, 22:00:00 UTC and ends November 30, 17:59:59 UTC, unless all 10,000,000 PLX tokens are claimed up to the end date (unclaimed tokens will be burnt on TGD deadline).

The PLX Genesis Distribution is set up in three phases:

First Distribution Phase:
Tokens: 5.000.000 PLX:
Rates: 3:1 PLX/ZRX; 150:1 PLX/ETH
Max. 100.000 PLX for each registered address

Second Distribution Phase:
Tokens: 3.500.000 PLX
Rates: 2:1 PLX/ZRX; 100:1 PLX/ETH
Max. 50.000 PLX for each registered address

Third Distribution Phase:
Tokens: 1.500.000 PLX
Rates: 1:1 PLX/ZRX; 50:1 PLX/ETH
Max. 20.000 PLX for each registered address

The individual hardcap has been set in order to allow for more participants in the TGD.
We are not conducting any bounty campaigns or referral programs.
Be aware of any attempts of phishing, scamming or impersonators and only address to the official Pollux Network website and media channels.

@jiujitsu has done some research and there has been an e mail circulating which has got nothing to do with 0x protocol.
