Ulog 94: Presenting My New Daughter-In-Law

What an absolutely beautiful day! A wedding... at a boat club... with the ceremony alongside the lake!

My oldest, and only son, was married over the weekend at a wondrous event!

Here he is with his new bride cutting the ceremonious first piece of their wedding cake. Sorry you can't see his face... but keep on going, eventually you see what he looks like.

And here they are... Mr and Mrs!

It was such a beautiful day for a wedding outdoors. Sunny, a nice gentle breeze and not too warm.

People on the lake were in boats and pontoons and were watching the ceremony. When they were pronounced husband and wife, some of the boats honked their horns and people were clapping for the happy couple.

She's placing his ring upon his finger. And LOOK! He's actually smiling! If you know my son, this was a HUGE moment. He rarely smiles- Always too serious for his own good!

While this was an adult only reception (the bride and groom's children were exempt from this because they were part of the wedding party); I was overseeing the bride's two children and two of my grandsons during the reception. We were down by the water hunting for snails while other guests were enjoying some hors d'oeuvre and wine. (Right image) My youngest grand-daughter (she turned one back in late April) and the youngest of the five children of my son and his new bride. Cutest little flower girl I have EVER seen!
