The #PowerHouseCreatives server has officially arrived!
For the last little while you may have seen the odd post here and there from myself, my partner @zord189 and also possibly from some of our members about our upcoming transformation from “The Steemit Bloggers” to The Power House Creatives. Well, today was moving day and everybody who has proven themselves to be an asset to our amazing community has been sent their invite to our new server via DM. The invites are only valid for a 24hour period, so if you only get to it after that period you will need to contact me directly for a new one.
GENERAL INFO
I thought I would put this post out not only to make the cross over known to everyone on the platform, but also to clarify a few details and grab the attention of those that may not have popped into discord today. So, today – the 7th January 2019 marks the start of our new journey in our new home. Please note that the original Steemit Bloggers server will be deleted on the 14th January. @zord189 and I have so much more we want to do with our shiny new space, so this is just the beginning – but we know how excited everyone has been to make the change and we didn’t want to keep you all waiting any longer… so we thought we would open our doors to you, let you explore the new space and share in the enthusiasm. The rest of the changes and additions will be made as we go along.
COMMUNITY PAGE & DELEGATIONS
Whilst we will be known as The Power House Creatives from this point forward – for now, our community account will remain with the @steemitbloggers extension – so all delegations and autovotes can remain unchanged until further notice. I have decided leave it like this for now as it will allow people to create the association between the two brands. The same goes for our external pages and feeds on Facebook and Twitter where we regularly share our members posts. I have submitted a name change request from Facebook and am waiting to see if that gets approved. If not, then we will make the decision whether to start new pages and direct followers there or simply to keep the existing pages and handles, but with the new branding. I will make that decision once I have heard from facebook.
NEW MEMBERS
As our entire existing community has now walked into a new space, I will not be inviting in ANY new members for a little while. I want to allow time for everybody to adjust to the new space and the structural changes, as well as to somewhat “complete our vision” for now, before we have a growth spurt again.
NEW TAG AND FOOTERS
From this point forward it is ESSENTIAL that all our members PLEASE update their footers and start making use of our new tag #powerhousecreatives. I will NOT be scouring the old tag for community support anymore, so if you don’t make the change then you are going to be missing out on support opportunities.
POST SHARING
As you have all seen within our new walls – we are now working at incorporating ALL social media and blogging platforms – so this includes the decentralised platforms as well as the more commercialised ones. As far as your community “obligations” go – they remain unchanged for now. So the additional channels are there for you to casually share content from your other feeds, affording members the “option of” supporting you there too – but again – is not in any way compulsory.
COMMUNITY DELEGATIONS
Although we only opened our new doors a couple of hours ago – we have already had some wonderfully generous delegations from members, so a VERY big thank you for those. Every little bit counts and if you would like to make a delegation to show your support for our amazing little family, then please make use of the delegation links in the footer of this post.
For now, I think that is about it! No doubt we will have a few more updates here and there as we move forward – but for now, to those that have hopped on… welcome to your new home – 2019 I going to be an awesome year for all of us! MWAH!!!

I have been following yourself and the powerhouse / steemit bloggers, and also recommended by members towards joining your gang.
I have been lurking around steemit for a few years and am looking to being more structured and focused this year with my writing and goals. I see you are settling into a new exciting stage and not expanding with new people. I am a slow and steady kinda person and happy just to follow and continue to learn from the many talented bloggers. I will add this,
My long enduring husband has been on steemit longer than me, the blockchain is perfect, because it hides nothing. As for my emails... I never log out and we share one laptop.. However unless he wants to finish my savage sheep sonnet or hear about the correct meter of a Ballard, then I think we're all good.
He did advise me on the quill I was fashioning. He didn't approve of the tacky ball point. He has quills, but had packed them away, we still haven't uncovered everything. He also showed me how to whittle the actual feather.
Do you whittle feathers or is it solely a wood concept? I have been known for whittling in the past, no too well mind you.
I'm less known for my half South African-ness. My mum is a Joburger, but I'm not really sure if that is something you disclose to a cape townie.

She left SA in the 70s. She left a lot behind, much of which has seldom been spoken of, as time does not heal so much as calcify sometimes.
I should tell you, jaynie, I read her your posts. Just yesterday in fact you unknowingly facilitated an important conversation.
Powerhouse is not an overstement. When you write on the blockchain, or indeed to anyone in anyway, you have power to change lives. I learnt the power of words. I joined steemit over 2 years ago to document the power of one hand written letter. I haven't written too much on this particular subject since. There has been further development, but I am not compelled to write about it more at this time, these 6000 words, like the task itself feel like more than my capacity at this time. It is not at all well written but is my proudest post for it's content.

Akin to your post on atrocity perhaps, it is not my intention to write about such things frequently. It is taxing and not why I come to steemit.
For me steemit is an opportunity to enhance expression and creativity, and build on these things.
I would like to find my way with writing, something I discovered by using this platform. My life is restructuring and as several other doors close, writing and arts does seem to be the direction I need to go in. Not necessarily professionally, but as an occupational engagement nonetheless. Occupation is too frequently aligned with monetary gain. What I refer to is contribution and purpose, should anything ever amount to more, then that is a bonus.
