Making money when I'm old

I have just finished my course and already, a lot of things are reeling in my mind. One of them is that, I am getting old! Not that I am worried over having wrinkles or not being able to date as much as I wanted to.
The reality that I have to be independent financially is sinking in. Yes. I have a lot of people who could support me in a way or another but, I wanted to be prepared. I think now that I am young, its time for me to think of other ways to make money and not just depend solely on my profession for my bread and butter.
I personally view my financial track in this way: passive and active income. I know that as a nurse, I will be able to get by with my active income. However, let's face it folks, I do not want to be doing the same old job like when I am on my 80s or 70s and, I definitely will not stop spending money when I get on that age. I am a bit worried that when I retire, I might not have that much income to get by.
So here is my strategy: I wanted to know from you guys out there how can I make money when I get old. Can I rely on blogging in steemit or perhaps mining? Or, do I need to do some financial investments along the way? If so, please help me get educated because I am definitely not going to spend my money on something that I vaguely have knowledge about.
I think investing in cryptocurrency one way or another is a very good idea because I believe it has a lot of future potential. But there are no guarantees. It’s wise to have a financial advisor who can help you make smart investments over time and build a solid retirement fund. There are also online investment tools. And now there are apps that help you save through micro-investing, like Stash and Twine. The more you save when you’re young, the more it compounds and builds a nest egg for you.
Thank you @jayna. That is exactly my intention. i do not really want to go into my 50s or 60s and worrying on these things. I want to continously earn even when I get retired either passively or actively

I can't advice you about investments. The opportunities are getting really scarce as the central banks keep lowering the interest rates.
Maybe Real Estate is all that's left?
I was thinking on the same line. In fact, the first option for me was to have like a term deposit but again, why should I want to lend my money in a bank and earn less than a hundred in a year- that's what it says anyway.
Definitely smart to start thinking about it now! I feel the same way. As a personal trainer my job is pretty physical day to day, as I'm sure being a nurse is, as well! I know at some point while I will still want to keep my mind sharp and work in some way, but perhaps not in such a physical way once I start getting older. It's a challenge to know what will help bring in enough income later on in life to continue to support myself, as I don't make enough to really be able to put a lot of savings away currently. So I probably don't have much advice for you on that front, but can definitely relate!
Thank you for your comment. Yeah. that is exactly what I am about to say. I am earning now- yes. I might even indulge myself a bit but, what happens when I'm old? Its not that I need to rely on somebody when I get there. As much as possible I want to do this my way and be independent.
I am not good in this as now am a stay at home mom. Some cheeky friends will tell you pray and get a rich husband. Hahaha. But I know that is not the ultimate way too. Hope others can guide. =)

Exactly. But when that rich husband dies and I discover everything was actually taken to pay a loan, I might end up in the slums! hahahahahaha

Interesting choice of topic. Can you remind me what course did you attend?
It has been on my mind how will my future will be once I will get old. And I figured that since old people in Asian countries (like Thailand, Malaysia) can work even once they are aged 60-70 and they do not complain, then I guess I will work till end of my days too. Lol.
In my opinion ... forget about both. Mining may bring some profits, but that can become easily not-profitable in the future. Blogging is absolutely not profitable. However blogging does allow you to build contacts and those can be very helpful in the future. Create your own business opportunities if you can.

thank you @crypto.piotr I am actually planning to work or at least engage in business through my investments until the day I die. Reality hit me like this: when you retire, your income shrinks, your expenses double. so you gotta work!
