Possible symptoms of 'the search'

This is possibly one aspect of 'the search' that will happen sooner or later to most of us, but there again it may just be me...

“What does all that mean?” said one ragged man to another ragged man who was looking at the notice nailed to a tree.

“I have no idea but if you don’t take your hand out of my face I’m going to punch you.”

“Oh, so sorry, I didn’t know you were that close.”

An uncouth mixture of Rosemary and Thyme fell off her bike at this and picked herself up with a bruised arm.

“That’s what you get for falling off your bike,” said Big Time who lived in Rainbow Valley with a squirrel.

“What’s that?”

“Attachment.”

“But I’m only looking for love,” said Rosemary and Thyme.

“Sometimes love is what you get for falling off your bike but mostly it’s just a bruised arm. In all other circumstances be the lover and own the space, don’t invade it; in other words: be at home wherever you go by being your authentic self which is pure love and then you’ll find there’s no separation,” said Big Time beginning to get warmed up to his theme.

“I’ve looked everywhere for love and can’t find it and now feel to give up on it,” said Rosemary and Thyme.

“You don’t find your love out there somewhere without first finding it inside you, and once you find it everything becomes an expression of it. It’s a whole another way of looking at things.”

“When I sit down to meditate I feel alone and apart in a space that’s full of looking. I’ve looked everywhere for love and in all that looking I only find more looking,” said Rosemary and Thyme.

When you’re in love you walk in love, talk in love, express in love and see love in all things, that’s why the world loves a lover because a lover gives off a vibration that is recognised. Love ignites the hidden spark in all of us and can break the hardest heart, mend a broken life, turn despair to hope, it can even move a mountain of separation that’s stood for a thousand years to find its expression.

Love has secret ways to find you when you feel all is lost and most often finds you when you’ve given up and let go, and then love is there in the space that’s left behind, filling you to know it,” said Big Time taking a pause.

“I find it almost impossible to get past my thoughts,” said Rosemary and Thyme.

“Children see from their hearts, but we as adults see through our learning, our beliefs, concepts, cultural identity, fears, programming and etc, so when we go in to meditate we take all this with us and our thoughts come from all this stuff; the trick is to turn our awareness away from that and be aware of the lover buried deep inside of us.”

“I feel I’m buried in my own life like a fish buried in water that’s always swimming and getting nowhere,” said Rosemary and Thyme.

“Love is your identity; when you know love you’ll be at home, and everywhere you are, that’s where you’ll be,” said Big Time.

“It’s so hard to find this love,” said Rosemary and Thyme.

“Just stop looking and let it find you then.”

“I’m not sure how to do that.”

“Well that’s it, you don’t do it; it’s time to stop banging on the door and step back so it can open.”

“My head aches with all this.”

“That’s because you’re trying to figure it all out in your head, this is not a thing you’ll find up there. Love is what you are and is beyond the thoughts, what you’re not is what you think you are in your thoughts.”

“OK, thanks very much for telling me all this,” said Rosemary and Thyme and went home to tell all her friends her new found wisdom and was accompanied by a cotton down dog with all the trimmings that never barked unless it saw a squirrel, which made it a good dog to be with.
