The Veneers Of Society

Hidden underneath the outer layer of society lies a dark and dangerous world. We are continually being sold a dream. A dream of wealth, beauty, popularity and opportunity.

Fuelled by glossy magazines, social media and the propaganda network of MainStream Media, we are manipulated into a reality that does not and never will exist. We can however strive to achieve a high level of integrity and social responsibility.
In an ever fast paced, interconnected and changing world, there exists an HOURGLASS STYLE SOCIETY - The growing 1% wealth pool at the top, a squeezed and shrinking 'Middle-Class' and an ever increasing pool of poverty, bulging at the bottom.

Society Is Living On A Razors Edge

I see society as a series of layers. On the outside exterior, pleasantries exist, however . . . . . lying just underneath and sparked by the smallest of events, lies the insidious and dark layers of society.

Plunging into an underlying layer

Life is good and life is ticking along nicely, but what can plunge us into the underlying layers? It could be a wrong turn into a bad neighbourhood or a widespread and sustained power blackout.
Whatever the event, the scale of outcome could be ultimate price! In the New York 1977 blackout, social disorder was very quick. The police force lost control and a widespread #SHTF situation took hold within hours.
Likewise, there have been many examples of minor driving conflict / altercations that have accelerated into a violent conflict.

My Point?

You can never gauge the 'tilt-point' of society until it is too late and you NEVER know what is going on in someone's head. From the people you interact with in the street, your fellow shoppers in the store or the guy/gal in the vehicle behind. When times get tough, the underlying layers are exposed and people will resort to a darker and primal priority - Their underlying layers!

Avoiding the underlying layers will be a combination of luck and being able to read the situation at hand. Practising good situational awareness and implementing a good #preparedness plan will keep you going and make life a lot easier.
