M. Benedetto is gaining internet fame with the creations that he has been making which he refers to as his 'unnecessary inventions,' that he's been posting to his social media account.

Benedetto says that thanks to his 3D printer it only takes him a couple of days to go from idea to having an actual product.

He's already created a variety of different items that are showcased on his Unnecessary Inventions profile.

The posts that he makes might make the products he creates look like they are for sale but they aren't. The items might be strange, and referred to as unnecessary, but whether or not those items might be useless is up for debate.

"I think people confuse the words useless and unnecessary. It can have a use but still be completely unnecessary to have in your life," Benedetto said.

3D printers have been able to help people of different ages to explore their imagination and creativity, whether it be coming up with humorous and unnecessary inventions, or creating something useful and needed at the time like a set of braces or a bridge, this technology has given more people the chance to create in a new way.

With 3D printers available on the market today now kids have the chance to design and create their very own toys, but they can do a lot more than that.

They can also use 3D printers to create a variety of useful household objects too, the technology empowers them to be their own manufacturer; enabling them to see their creation through from idea to having a tangible product in the end. As the devices have gotten cheaper and easier to use, it's increased the availability and enabled many who are interested to be able to experiment with this technology. Previously, it's been suggested that children might be the key to unlocking the potential behind 3D technology, because of their creative and inquisitive nature; they are excited to make their own products.

3D printing inspires creativity in people of all ages and has also proven to be a useful technology that can assist in great times of need, as well as providing potentially more cost-effective solutions for city infrastructure, homes, and more. It's already been adopted into several industries, and whether it's children playing with their 3D printers that they were given for Christmas to make toys, or its university students experimenting with the potential of the technology to create human body parts, 3D printers are inevitably going to become increasingly more prevalent in our society.

The fact that 3D printers can print with materials ranging from ordinary dirt to living cells is head twisting. It's impossible to see limits on what individuals might eventually be able to create with this means of production.

Thanks!
