Good news about the MILK token! 🎉

The following post has 3 objectives: first, we want to explain some facts about the MILK for the new members of our community. Second, we will present the icon for MILK and finally, there is a BIG NEW to all Milkbox followers.

The MILK will be the official currency of the MILKBOX platform. This currency will be used to finance published cases, collections and everything related to the internal economy of MILKBOX.
The MILK is possible thanks to the BitShares platform, which is a decentralized exchange system powered by its own token: BTS. But it is much more than a simple exchange system. BitShares offers developers and investors the power to create their own smart contracts.
Smart Contracts have their own currency, which is exactly what MILK is. A token attached to the Smart Contract called Project Milkbox. The Milkbox platform will be a stand-alone economy that will offer a utility backed by community-driven services accessible through the MILK tokens.
The MILKs will be used as community tokens to pay rewards. In the case of those users who can not establish a total or partial reward, the community can choose to donate through collections to help pay the reward in legitimate and verifiable cases.
The MILK tokens will not only be a valuable asset to invest as BitShares continues to grow. The HODLERS community can also use them to help find missing persons by adding rewards in active cases. Funds can also be allocated through collections to verified cases.
The amount of existing MILKs is the sum of 1 million and, the number of MILKs that will be put on pre-sale, will be 800,000. The maximum number of MILKs that may exist is 10 million.

The token campaign will work similarly to the EOS token campaign. However, instead of on Ethereum we will be running it on Bitshares. There are some other differences between the MILK token campaign and the Eos distribution. Much of this has to do with the fact that there will only be 1 million MILK tokens ever made with 900,000 distributed during the campaign. The rest will be used for rewarding people who have benefitted us and to promote the token and the service. Since this is the case and since the early buyers will have a greater benefit from the tokens as they will be receiving the sharedrops all during the campaign, we decided that instead of having a fixed amount of tokens each day that we would have a certain amount for the first week and it will increase each week. The first week 500 tokens will be distributed per day based on how much each user contributed to the pool that day. After the end of the first week, the number will be increased to 1000 per day. In this way we will continue to increase the number of tokens distributed each day by 500 every week for 3 weeks until we reach 2000 tokens per day. The token sale will then continue until all tokens have been distributed. The final day an initial 1000 tokens will be distributed.

All contributions to the pool must be in the Bitshares asset (BTS), Bitcoin (open.btc) or Ethereum (open.eth).
To contribute to the pool users simply transfer the amount of BTS, open.btc or open.eth they would like to contribute to the Bitshares account milkbox-pool.
The minimum contribution is 10 BTS. Contributions less than 10 BTS will be considered a donation.
MILK tokens will be distributed to the accounts that contributed to the pool so make sure you transfer your contributions from the account you would like your tokens transferred to.
