Milkbox Newspaper 📰: Titles are delivered at the University of Chile 🌍
On Tuesday, September 11, as part of the commemoration of the State on September 11, 1973, the University of Chile awarded posthumous and symbolic titles to 11 students executed and disappeared during the military dictatorship. The titles were given to the relatives of these victims in a ceremony held in their memory. On April 11, posthumous titles were granted to 100 students and the house of studies ensures that this activity will be carried out in the future, since they have the support of family groups and human rights organizations that provide data on the victims.
The students who were recognized during the day on Tuesday were the following:
- José Modesto Amigo Latorre
- Tatiana Valentina Fariña Concha
- Frank Randall Teruggi Bombatch
- Sócrates Augusto Ponce Pacheco
And the disappeared detainees:
- Jorge Humberto D'Orival Briceño
- Jorge Enrique Espinosa Méndez
- Clara Elena Canteros Torres
- Bernardo de Castro López
- Néstor Alfonso Gallardo Agüero
- José Fernando Romero Lagos
- Eduardo Humberto Ziede Gómez.
