SteemCamp Day 1 & 2 Highlights/Activities

Yesterday being sunday was the first day in camp so i had to travel a 3 hours journey to get to the camp. Even though it was the day to come into camp, i wasn't in a hurry to come to camp because yesterday was the first sunday in the new month of July; the 2nd part of the year. As important as the camp was, i couldn't miss church service. So what i did was to arrange my luggages from the house and carried them to church so that as soon as i close from church, i would embark on my trip which was what happened.

After taking the pictures, off i went to the park to board a bus. Though there was a little drizzle of the rain, but it couldn't stop my journey. By the time i got to the park, i had to wait for the bus to get filled. When the bus got filled, we moved out immediately.

Yesterday = DAY 1

The party was more than a party for us because it was an opportunity to see all the other finalists who made it to the finals. They travelled both from far and near, so our previous camp memories were ignited as we all saw each other.

The party kicked off a bit late because it rained but still the rain couldn't even stop the red carpet.

Even though we were tired from our trip, we still went on to party and we partied hard. We were entertained by different guest artists in comedy, rappers and musicians including one of the finalists, who's also a Steemian @princessvanessa. The fun was so much that we didn't feel like closing.

But after much persuation from within us, we had to call the party a day. As soon as we were ready to go into camp proper, a transport which had already been arranged came and carried everyone of us. The reception was simply unique. When we got into camp, we were officially welcomed by @michaelcj, who talked to us about the rules and regulations guiding the camp; The rules weren't difficult though.

So, after all the talk was given by him, we were all assigned to our various rooms and we all retired then.

DAY 2

As early as 5:00am in the morning, @michaelcj came banging on every door to wake us up for the exercises and morning drills. We all responded even though some were still feeling sleepy. We had with us an Instructor who instructed us on how we were going to carry out the exercises and we did as we were all told to.

After the drills, the Instructor started teaching the dancers and those interested in dancing some dance steps.

After the whole exercises, morning drills and dancesteps, we all went to our various rooms to freshen up and we also had our breakfast. We rested for a great while, but while resting, we were also not comfortable as most of us couldn't wait for the picnic at the zoo most especially me because i had never visited the zoo. When it was time for the picnic, 2 Air-conditioned Buses came to carry us to the zoo and we all were very excited inside the bus.
