A Call To all Promoters To Change their method of Promotion

I'll start by saying the biggest function of disappointment is expectations, and disappointment mostly leads to failure.

The offline minnow school is a project organized to assist and mentor minnows on steemit, through an offline and online class for minnows and promote steemit by organizing campaigns and meetups, currently we have produced over 100 minnows and mentoring about 30 of them.

Don't expect to much from the community, your focus should be how to add or impact positively to the community rather than just expecting all and all from the blockchain with putting nothing.

One major reason why minnows tend to abandon their accounts after few weeks of blogging can be blamed on the manner in which the steem gospel was preached to them.

Most steem promoters don't make much effort in the aspect of managing the expectations of the individuals they're bringing to the community.
And I believe the most misconception is as a result of the statement below:

steemit pays you for writing original and quality contents.

I'll love to rephrase that statement - steemit rewards you for your original and quality contribution.
The word is not pay but instead, the word is reward.
And talking about reward we get to establish two facts which are:-

• You have no rights to earn. Earning is payment for work done, and you don't work on Steemit, you contribute.

• You don't get to determine how much the reward is going to be. It's a reward so it's not fixed

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS OF MINNOWS

When registering we expect to make as much money as we can, especially those of us that feels we can write. Most individuals will be like, is it not just to write and earn? I'm so down for it.
Normally your introductory post earns a lot, so after introductory post they tend to start having high hopes and belief.
With the thought of my introduction earned this amount, that's cool, meaning I'll earn more with a better article.
So they start posting and when they don't see the reward expected they tend to lose interest in the community.

I suggest to every promoter to change the manner in which they adopt for the promotion of steemit.

Like I said earlier most individuals just come with the mindset of making money and they leaving. But if you are after upvotes believe me you won't get upvotes. (NO VISION)

The plan should be how to invest and get more than what you invested.
When I'm talking about investment, I don't just mean cash only but also time.

Try to visualize the big picture.
Life is more than what you are seeing now and so is steemit.
Steemit has more to offer than what you are seeing now.
Steemit has proven itself over time to be the most reliable social media and Steem has the capacity of emerging as the number one biggest blockchain.

So see steemit as more than a platform just to make money, steemit Is a community and there are lots of things involved. So try to look at the big picture.
