Nigeria is a very large country with over 170million individuals. A country blessed with lots of raw materials like solid minerals; oil and gas also good educated and skilled workforce.
Talking about crude oil, Nigeria is believed to have an estimated revenue of about 32billion barrels and an estimated gas revenue of about 174 trillion barrels.

Good evening, I’m @raymondbruce the founder of steemit_extention and the co-founder of the offline minnow school.

Steemit_extention is a project setup for the purpose of promoting steemit on facebook and depopulating the kingdom of facebook.

while

The offline minnow school is a project organized to assist and mentor minnows on steemit, through an offline and online class for minnows and promote steemit by organizing campaigns and meetups, currently we have produced over 100 minnows and mentoring about 30 of them.

But despite All these, Nigeria have not been able to harness the gifts and improve the welfare of its citizens.

After the military region ,the Nigeria was left in a very high inflation rate, interest rate and the economy was shaking, the unemployment rate became very astonishing.

ABOUT THE N.E.E.D.S

The national economic empowerment strategy was given birth in 2013 , the policy was targeted restructuring the economy through value re-orientation ( meaning giving lessons to the citizens), privatisation (The transfer of a company or organization from government to private ownership and control) and diversification (A corporate strategy in which a company acquires or establishes a business other than that of its current product) of the economy.

The policy was put in place to anchor on poverty reduction, employment and value re-orientation.

But the N.E.E.D.S policy failed in as much as it increased the real gross domestic product to 8.6% judging by the professed objective which were creating employment, eradication of poverty, creating wealth and value re-orientation, it is very obvious that the policy did not fulfil objective in any measures .

when the policy expired it left so many Nigerians in abject poverty instead of getting us out which the policy was impeded for.

STEEMIT IN NIGERIA

Since our government and all the policy put in place has failed we need to sort out ourselves.
The needs promised us 7 million jobs from 2003-2007 but within that 4years they were not able to provide 1million jobs for people while steemit in Nigeria is over 7months Now and it has successfully empowered up to 90 thousand individuals including me within this short period of time.

  • The N.E.E.D.S policy was targeted to reduce unemployment but steemit is already taking care of that now.

  • The N.E.E.D.S policy was targeted to reduce poverty but it made it worse, luckily for us steemit is already taking care of that.

  • value re-orientation, we don't need re-orientation because we all know what is right but couldn't do it because of the poverty rate, steemit is now helping us to do the right thing, because if you don't you won't earn.

CONCLUSION

N.E.E.D.S as development plan did not achieve her core adjective as described in her blueprint especially in the four key objective which are generating employment, wealth creation, poverty reduction and value re-orientation while STEEMIT in the other hand is tackling all the problems that the N.E.E.D.S couldn't do.

WE HAVE A FAILED POLICY BUT A WORKING STEEMIT
