Steemit Is A Community And Not JUST A Means Of Making money

For you to be able to start and stay Long as a steemian you need to picture steemit as a community and not just a means of making money.
Steemit is more than what most of us vision it has, I decided to make this post because most of us rush into steemit just to make small cash but when they find it difficult making it they abandon their steemit accounts.

The idea most of us buy from promoters(individuals promoting steemit) who told us about this platform is all you have to do is to write a good article and wait for it to earn. Well, maybe that’s true but let me break it to your that its not absolutely true.
Steemit is a community and as such demands you to engage and interact monitor the activities on your own side of the blockchain.

What makes up the steemit community is you and I, without us there won't be steemit and as such you and I have a big part to play to make sure the steemit community grows.

in as much we all are valuable to the community bare in mind that you need people to make it to the top on steemit, no man is an island, even if you have a very large steem power you still need upvote from others to get your desired earning.

WHAT MAKES UP A COMMUNITY?

First of all what is a community - "A community is a group of people united by a common struggle with the same stories". From this definition we can get the components of a community, from the definition I'll pick out few component.

Group:- A group is a set of individuals more than two, two persons can be a partner but three is a group. One of the major classification of a community is there most be groups.

A common struggle:- struggle get the human mind active and once a set of individuals are going through same struggle ,it is rational for them to come together to provide solution. So, a common struggle unites individuals into groups. Like on steemit we are what to earn that's why most of us joined steemit, steemit is a group and in steemit there are other groups help themselves.

same stories:- This helps bond the group together, 2/3rd of us joined steemit because of financial problems and when we see people sharing testimonies of steemit goodness it encourage and motivate us.

HOW TO SURVIVE IN STEEMIT COMMUNITY

Remember in every community there is politics and once there is politics, man know man comes in play.

most individuals with big steem power upvotes only users they are familiar with, it's not just about the content of the post, it's now about the person that uploaded it. You don't just drop your post and go to bed expecting upvote by the time you return,you have to first do for other what you expect to be done to you before you can every think of them doing the same for you.

After you done with your post I'll advice you to get engaged not just refresh your page over and over again waiting for upvotes, visit other peoples blog, help curate their post, upvote and comment if possible resteem posts you think are worth it.
Try to chat up with your fellow steemians, like I said earlier on you can't do it on your own.
Follow others people's blogs and believe in no time you will be very visible to the community.
