The problem with humanity is that we don't always cherish what we have, we prefer what others have to what we have, because they could identified and make use of what is in them, we allowed ourselves to be oppressed by them, we then start believing that what they have is what we must have in order to make impact in life, forgetting the fact that we don't have what they have and they don't have what we have.
We are all created uniquely. So, you cannot give what you don't have, stop worrying yourself about becoming who you are not, discover the you that is in you and be happy with who you are.
Once you know what you are good at, start to be acquiring knowledge or information about it, don't let the opportunity to prove yourself meet you unprepared. You are a product of what you have acquired, you can't perform better than you know, go extra miles in gaining knowledge. If you are the best in what you are good at, no opportunity will pass you by.
