What's whaleshares.io?

Whaleshares is a blockchain social media platform for building, managing and rewarding Friends in a Web of Trust.

Whaleshares is a sharing or social media platform. Forked from Steem. It's not a blogging platform. It's here to stretch our crypto portfolio and not compete with steem. It's a platform where you get rewarded for socializing and engaging in the community.

Some whaleshares terminologies

-1- Whale token: These are non-tradeable tokens that are available on the Bitshares DEX (wallet.bitshares.org). They are used to summon upshares(upvote) on the Whaleshares platform from community rewarding accounts having huge stake. They are freely given or earned for engaging in the community like (working for communities, participating in contests, attending shows(community incline or curation), participating in lotteries, curation from curators for sharing valuable contents). Examples of whale tokens are (bhive, met, givens, airplay, erotx, midas, krazykoin, milk, hairshares)

-2- Whalestake: Unlike steem that's known as steem power(sp), whaleshares terms it's own as whalestake. Whalestake is used to influence rewards. The bigger your stake, the bigger the influence of your rewards in up-sharing valuable contents on the platform.

-3- Mana: Mana is weighed in a scale of (1 — 100%). Also the state of your whalestake will determine your rewards size or mana. Mana shows you the influence your whalestake can have on rewarding contents. Every 100% up-share(upvote) you use to reward any content takes 2% of your mana.

-4- WLS: whaleshares has only one currency which is the wls token. For now it's tradeable on the rudex market on the Bitshares DEX. Visit (https://market.rudex.org)
