Thank you very much dear friends for the company and reading my post, the days have passed very quickly, again we have arrived on Saturday, day in which my blog becomes mystical and scary, for those who enjoy horror movies, it's time of a pause and enjoy a reading, natural or supernatural facts of life, dark legends told to us by our parents. I invite you to enjoy an urban legend as we did in our childhood.

The land without evil throughout history lodge different cultures, believers and superstitious of paranormal things and beyond, according to their beliefs between earth and hell there is a portal, where assiduously there are entities that return to their homes or places of origins.

 

Welcome dear friends to another Saturday of suspense, Corrientes are very superstitious, since children were inculcated to believe and respect paranormal things, the land without evil houses thousands of stories of events that have been witnessed.

Today's story happened more than 40 years ago, when I was barely 8 years old.

I lived in the Ponce neighborhood. Those who follow my publications will remember that it is a remote place forgotten in time, without laying electric lighting or drinking water, to light our house we did it with a lamp

The supply of drinking water was dreamed in that place, we were supplied with water for our needs of a huge cistern that we had built in our patio

for those who had the luck of not knowing it, it is a digging in the earth of a depth greater than 40 meters, you have to overcome several layers of water until you reach one that results suitable for consumption, then fitted with bricks to prevent it from falling apart.

The neighborhood itself was intimidating, did not need someone to scare you to be afraid, I must admit that I had a hard time napping, for this reason, my mother resorted to intimidate me with the "camba bolsa", this is a very popular in my land, it is an older person who steals children who play alone during the siesta, every trapped child puts it in a burlap bag and takes it to his hiding place.

In the neighborhood we had our own "camba bolsa" an older man who with his presence intimidated the children and entertained the elderly.

Mamerto, that's the name of the old man, this man lived in a tapera at the end of the neighborhood, a few meters in the woods, a very special character, all He would go out dressed as a waiter to go to work, leave before the sun comes out and return during the siesta.

What drew attention to the neighborhood neighbors, was that he had been fired from his job for over thirty years, according to some neighbors who knew their history, his dismissal was wrong for this reason the man lost his sanity.

A very strange character, as I said to the children, intimidated them, but older people had a lot of fun with their stories and anecdotes, even shining their shoes while telling the story, so they earned their living.

An ideal person to fulfill the role of "camba bolsa" for his appearance and also he always walked around napping, mothers took advantage of the intimidation that Mamerto caused to make us nap.

Mamerto was one of the first people to arrive in the neighborhood, built a madrea cabin and brought his wife and son to live with him, over time his son got married and gave him a beautiful grandchild. Everyone lived happily in that cabin!

On Sundays the family went to the small chapel of the neighborhood to witness the mass, at the end of the ceremony, the establishment was used as a social gathering, the president of the neighborhood reported the good news of our small town.

On Sunday, and from then on, Mamerto went to Mass alone, after being consulted by his family, he answered that his family had left him, the situation was not I call attention to the neighbors, they interpreted that it was related to the loss of their work.

The Ponce neighborhood was always characterized by being a very quiet place, nothing important ever happened, one morning I had breakfast the news that a few days ago some children had been lost, children of parents who had just arrived in the neighborhood, the neighbors attributed to the fact that having drowned in the lagoon or fallen into a cistern in some of the abandoned houses, they never thought that someone or someone was involved in these disappearances.

The bad news came from all the neighboring neighborhoods, every day a child disappeared, the quiet of the area ceased to be, we lived in anguish and worried about the missing children, even the uniformed police walked the streets of the neighborhood.

As I said before, the neighborhood by itself was intimidating, there was no need for these disappearances to be 24 hours a day. With fear, the children did not want to attend classes, let alone go shopping for our parents.

When everything was turned into a chaos, a neighbor saw Mamerto walked in the nap schedule, next to him was a child who was not from the neighborhood

This man did not hesitate for a moment to make a complaint in the police station, luckily the police officers came very soon, on arrival they found the boy and two others tied to the table.

Mamerto declared before the policemen that he was not doing anything wrong, he only complied with the wishes of the neighbors. The role of the "exchange bag"! For many years I had heard parents say, Be careful, there goes the "camba bolsa"!

A large police deployment came to the neighborhood, the policemen were working several days, with the help of sniffer dogs could find several bodies of children buried on their property, along with the remains of their relatives that he had said they had abandoned.

Mamerto was tried and sentenced to life imprisonment in the psychiatric hospital of Corrientes, that's how.
