How to learn to think positively?

If a person decides to wait for a suitable moment, while life circumstances allow him to think positively, then it can happen that he will be waiting all his life. Each day necessarily includes good and evil.

The world as a whole and someone's concrete life is full of moments that can justify both the irritable and and joyful state of the soul. Being an optimist or a pessimist is not an inborn quality, but a conscious choice.

When a person deliberately focuses on positive moments in life, he not only instantly smoothes out current inconveniences, but also creates a certain positive basis for the future.

The moments of happiness and victories that have been preserved in memory, even if they are insignificant, can provide significant support and inspiration in difficult periods.

American scientist and inventor Elmer Gates wrote that a person who aspires to self-improvement should mentally recreate the feeling of need for people and kindness. In ordinary life, people rarely experience such feelings, however, such emotions can significantly change a person for the better in a month.

The habit of thinking positively
Human habits always correspond to his personality. As soon as habits change, the person changes too. In English, the word "habit" also means clothing, vestments. And in a literal sense, the habit is the clothing in which our personality is clothed. However, they are not given to us at birth or by chance.

A person has those habits that are comfortable and fit his personal qualities. If a person forms new rules of behavior and skills, then old habits are immediately discarded and new ones put on.

Do not confuse the habit with addiction, it's not the same thing. The habit is just a way of reaction, automatic, without reflection and deliberate decisions. About 95% of human emotions and reactions are formed by habits.

When a person goes he does not think which foot to step. Also automatically the dancer performs movements, the driver switches the transmissions, the musician presses the keys. Similarly, the usual worldview, feelings and beliefs are formed. Every time a similar situation arises, we think, feel and act in a similar way and in the same manner.

The habit can be changed, transformed and completely reversed. This requires only a conscious decision and subsequent regular practice. A musician can deliberately hit another key, the dancer can consciously do another thing, and there is nothing strange about this. However, in order for the habit to become automatic, it must be daily trained and you should constantly pull yourself back, if the previous behavior is resumed.

Happiness as a habit -I like it! It can be difficult to think positively sometimes. Something that has helped me is to remember I have more control than I think. There are so many things we think we NEED to do, when we're really making a choice to do them.
