Brag, but remember that people are judging you

Every action of ours ( including every line that pops out of our mouth) attracts attention from people around and there is nothing we can do about it. People judge us from our actions and we never actually know what image we have for ourselves in their minds. Smarter brains are usually those who let their work speak rather than their words.

Around last year we had this maid who was hired to look after my granny. She was around 50 years old and treated Grammy like a naughty child. We all loved her for the attention she gave granny and never really bothered her bragging that ranged from her daughter being a doctor in London to she being a personal assistant to a well known celebrity. We all knew her words were too good to be true, but everyone around choose to ignore her talks.

Everything was going good. She would brag, we would appreciate her for her down to earth attitude inspite of being a flourishing doctors mother and she would with pride do her work until my aunt couldn't take it anymore more. She decided that she would put an end to that bragging forever and confronted the maid asking why she is working so hard for a income that could be counted as meagre when her doctor daughter could provide for her.

The maid justified herself saying she doesn't like being dependent on her daughter and is capable enough to earn her livelihood, but deep inside even she knew that we didn't believe her all this while. My granny expeired and the maid changed houses to take care of another elderly woman. My mom however gave her a pep talk on what not to say people.
