Moeda de 200 Réis do ano de 1938
A moeda de hoje é a moeda de 200 Réis cunhada no ano de 1938. Esta moeda pertence a série de moedas cunhadas para homenagear o então ditador Getúlio Vargas. Em 1937, Getúlio Vargas instaura um regime politico chamado Estado Novo. Era caracterizado pela centralização do poder, nacionalismo, anticomunismo e por seu autoritarismo. É parte do período da história do Brasil conhecido como Era Vargas. Todas as moedas à época tinham a figura de Getúlio Vargas Estampada.
A moeda de 200 Réis possuía no seu anverso o busto de perfil, à esquerda, do Presidente Getúlio Vargas, interrompendo a legenda do seu nome. Já no reverso temos o valor e a data em três linhas, tudo encimado pela palavra BRASIL, inscrita circularmente. Em orla, um ornamento marajoara.
