Continuando a série de Comemorativos Modernos Americanos, mostraremos hoje o 2011 "Medal of Honor" gradado pela PCGS PR70 DCAM.
Todas as moedas pesam 26,73g com 90% de pureza de prata. Foram emitidas com acabamento Proof e Brilliant Uncirculated.
Elas serão apresentadas na ordem em que foram cunhadas.
Esta moeda foi emitida para celebrar 150º aniversário do estabelecimento do mais alto prêmio por valor em ação contra uma força inimiga e reconhecer aqueles que o receberam.
Seu obverso mostra as três modernas Medalhas de Honra para o Exército, Marinha e Força Aérea, que devem ser usadas em volta do pescoço.
O reverso mostra uma cena de batalha onde um soldado de infantaria carrega um soldado ferido para um lugar seguro, sob fogo inimigo.
Foram emitidas 112.850 moedas em Filadélfia. O preço de lançamento foi de U$54,95 e o preço atual é cerca de U$120,00 neste grau.
