Small report on my hard time to be proud to be Quebecois

2018, the earth circles around the sun, but in Quebec, the world has to circle again and again around the navel of the Quebecker. The National holidays has past for Canada and Quebec and I'm wondering myself, ''my pride is more Canadian or more in Quebec?

My questioning is justifiable. Raised in a nationalist and pro-independence cradle, educated in a French unilingual region, at my teen aged I / we practised proudly the intimidation upon squared heads (English speakers). On June 24th it was always a ritual, the patriotism ceremony rolled up in a lily flower blue flag out to party and drink of Labatt blue in a show headlined by Paul Piché or the Cowboy Fringuants. The truth pure wool '' pure laine '' as some people likes to be identified.

Sad situation today to ask me, Cuz, what am I proud to be Quebecois?

20 years ago or 30 years ago the reasons, there was a bunch of them. Quebec took the education of his people in the hands of the Catholic Church, making french is the official language, the fruit of this change of governance allowed the people of the Gallic small, poor man of that time to carry out unique worldwide realizations in particular in the domain of the hydropower, digital technologies, engineering, aeronautics as well as the aerospace. The population reveals that this money should go in the most deprived rather than to an industry from Quebec which compete at the international.

The party being elected, either blue or red, the guideline is the same, to socialize the deficits and to privatize the profits. Games are the same, as the election gets closer, friends of the party see each other promoted director, and manager of large public society in which they have NO skill at all to do the job, with a leaving bonus allocation completely disproportionate. The governmental structure is so heavy that ministries cut down on the services without ever cutting a single executive position. We had a multitude of commissions of inquiry enlighten the stratagems to increase the cost governmental projects for new infrastructures.

The friends of the Party in power make of bargains while the middle class pay and pay their taxes. Change? None, No action is taken anymore to put the Quebec on the map and lead our society forward.

I like my country, but my neighbor I hate him!

Quebec is made so much out of a project that it lately the main stream project was to write a Quebec value statement. WTF? is that the project of society we really need? Are you so disconnecting about the reality that we need to put million of dollars to write down what cubes stand for?

We are prisoners of a province which takes itself for a country in a country which in the last decade achieved by things at the international.

Canada is standing straight in the international and against the American administration while Quebec moves back in economic and demographic importance in Canada. The Canada of today is progressive at the technological, social and economic level. Only 3 simples examples among so many others. Canada leaves the way open to the development of cryptocurrency and crypto-economy, Canada ruled and legislated on the gender equality and gender identity and now legalizes the marijuana.

It is good or not, who knows at least we go forward somewhere.

Among the progressive governance and the governance, which circles around for 2 decades, which one I'm most proud of?? I feel like a Native identifying myself as a Canadian before being a Native.

Today for the first time I prouder to be Canadian than a Quebecois.
