Huevos Rancheros Perfection On a Wood Burning Stove!
Huevos Rancheros are one of my all time favorite dishes. They are delicious, nutritious and contain simple readily available foods that require no fancy cookware.
Corn tortillas (ideally fried to a crisp) with RE fried beans, sour cream, tomatoes, onions, guacamole, a fried egg and hot sauce!
Of course because I love sustainability so much they are way better cooked on a wood burning stove!
I crisp the tortillas on the stove top, fry and mash beans and fry the eggs. Then put it all together in layers and feast!
While it is a simple meal it’s not necessarily a fast or easy one. Especially when all made on a wood burning stove. However it’s worth it!
