Start with something to small easy to do to train that up first, ie
discipline to wake up upon alarm ring in the morning, discipline to drink 2 litres of water daily etc
Awareness : become aware of your current state, situation. In order to go toward your destination, you need to be aware where you're currently at.
Do the maths : Create the possibilities, break it down to the smallest bit and work on it first. Build confidence. I can do it once, i can do it again and again and again
Track and measure : By tracking, you can monitor the progress and improve or even help you get back when you're off track. Harder to break the chain.
