The Darker the Night the Brighter the Stars

in #quote6 years ago

In this context, when i said Darkness, i used it to denote a gloomy situation (disappointment). Nobody wants or admires disappointment but it can be of learning aid about ourselves.

Sometimes, we find it easy to convincingly deceive ourselves by believing that we have faith and hope in aboundance when things are going well in our life.

But our faith and hope are measured or shown when things we plannned and expected didnt go our way or the way we want it to be.

"the pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; the optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty". _ Winston Churchill

From the above quote, we look at disappointment in two ways.

  • Either see opportunity as a way to stand out
  • Or you see it as avenue of giving up.

Darkness in its own does not overshadow stars, instead it makes it to stand out.

Tough situations indeed reveal those who are tough among us

Now I understand that darkness is a measurement to know how bright stars can shine.
