Quartor's Tasty Tuesday #78 - One Skillet Wonder
This is one of my favorite go-to one-skillet easy meals. You can make it with any variety of your favorite veggies or meat. I'm going for a healthier type of meal so here are my ingredients:
Turkey smoked sausage (shrimp or chicken work just as well)
Fresh broccoli
Fresh zucchini
Fresh yellow squash
Fresh onions
Fresh garlic
I start by browning the turkey sausage, onion, and garlic in a couple of Tablespoons of coconut oil. I use a seasoning called Herbamare. If you aren't familiar with this seasoning here's a snap of the container:
So after the sausage is browned a little and the onion is translucent, I add the fresh veggies. I like mine tender-crisp so I add them and cover the skillet with the glass lid. The steaming process only takes about 5 -7 minutes. I finish this off with several drops of coconut aminos, which is a much healthier substitute for soy sauce, just to give it a little flavor kick.
And that's all there is to it. Healthy, fresh, (low calorie!) and delicious. Made in one skillet for easy cleanup. That's a triple win in my book.

Simple, healthy and delicious, my kind of meal.
Simple quick dish like this is always great in taste, something I enjoy doing especially in the winter months if it is not a thick veggie soup.
I like this one for summer too when you start get loads of fresh zucchini and squash.
Looks easy to make, and tasty too!
