Beautiful shots@joanstewart! The water Lillys are fabulous and the cranes so majestic. You are so right, we need all of these species to keep the balance and the health of our ecosystems. :) Gotta love those sweet ducks too

What I want to know is does the whistling duck actually whistle, and what tune? That grey crowned crane cracks me up though, what an amazing fuzzy plume! !COFFEEA 15

Here you go @c0ff33a, I have personally not seen them together in numbers....

Beautiful creatures as usual, especially the ducklings are so beautiful!

Anything young gets our attention, we definitely wired to love cuddly cute little things @joelai

Those babies pluck the heartstrings. Wonder where they will be a year from now?

Working hard to prepare a family of their own perhaps, they grow so quickly always.

Ok... I was in a happy-go-lucky state of mind seeing the ducks... BUT THEN.. Isw the crocdile and the snakes!

Nope.. not a reptile person here!

Crocodiles are also cute when young, just a little more snappy than most adolescents.

Cute ducklings for sure but the scary reptiles is going after them sometimes for sure.
I cannot image how you get the croc photo.

Most definitely if they on a pond or river with crocs some ducks may disappear, they learn quick enough.

Crocodiles in the wild we see from a boat normally, good patch of water between you and them, this particular one was photography at a conservation center with fencing between us and them.

Thanks for visiting @ace108 and hosting a fun topic to share.

You're welcome.

Holy moly 😱😱
Those Crock and snakes, I’ll run to death if I ever saw that in front of my eyes haha

Crocs and snakes are intimidating, still play a major role in our ecosystem, perhaps it is good we are fearful, means we leave them alone @gotlius

Beautiful photos and great descriptions of their values to the eco system Lady Joan. All life is sacred as far as I am concerned.
Blessings!

Each has beauty in one way or another, playing in the circle of life.

Thank you Lady Joan and so wonderful how they were created!
Blessings!

Very interesting photos with animals. I could not get close to the crocodile))))

Most fascinating animals that have lived millions of years, respect them yes!

Those are some impressive wildlife shots! IMO too many people see animals as pests and can't really understand how valuable they are to our ecosystem. In my area we have beavers, ducks, badgers, snakes, deer, and lots of other critters. I personally think they are all super cute... but many of my friends disagree.

I would love to see animals from your region, beavers, badgers, skunk, raccoons we don't see in our part of the world, always fascinating and super cute.
