This is my entry to @flamingirl’s lovely flower power photo contest #3 and @qurator’s Photo Friday. If you love photography, come and join the fun contests and showcase your very own favorite photographs!
Daffodil flower is also known as “Narcissus” (botanic name), "Lent Lily” because of their long association with Lent here in England and it also symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings because it is one of the earliest spring flowers to bloom. Plant the bulbs during autumn and it will start to flower from February to Summer.
Just like other flowers, there are different kinds of daffodils and this one is called “double daffodil” because of it’s double petal blooms unlike the other daffodils.

I am not sure why but I have always loved daffodils, maybe because they're often the first flower you see to signal the arrival of spring, and these are beautiful shots of them
