QURATOR'S TASTY TUESDAY ENTRY #66 - CABBAGE STUFFED RICE

Good morning food lover Steemians!

Cooking and learning more about food is a part of my daily endeavor in life. Since I came here in Saudi Arabia, I learned a lots of Arabic cuisines. I am an all around household worker. My boss already knew how to eat Filipino recipes too.

Now I have to share with you how to make this CABBAGES STUFF. It's my version since I don't like using meat for this.

It will take two hours and a half, straight up time alone until finishing and served.

Stuff l need:

  • Fresh cabbage
  • 3 cup of rice(soak to a plain water)
  • 5 large onions
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 2 Maggi cubes
  • 2 tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 3 lemon
  • potatoes
  • green bell pepper
  • SHABAT LEAVES IN ARABIC
  • black pepper powder
  • salt to taste
  • steamer and cooking non sticky pan

Let's start:

  • Saute garlic and onions, add Maggi cubes
  • Add grinded tomato

  • Add rice and black pepper

  • Remove from the fire.
  • Add on the finely sliced SHABAT herbs(the most important herbs to enhance the taste.)

On the other pan:

  • Arrange the sliced potatoes as shown in my picture.

  • Add the rolled rice in a cabbage.

Steam first the fresh cabbage to make the leaves ready to used.

Patiently rolling and rolling then arrange it well.

Add water mix with cup of oil, Maggi Cubes and tomato sauce to the water and pour on the filed cabbage with rice. Add sliced green pepper and cover with ceramic plate to avoid the stuffed rice to open. Stay 45 minutes or until it's perfectly done.

Then see the result! It's ready to digest easily but it took a long hours in the making.

Done!
