Hoy os voy a contar la historia antigua de:

Torto

El cíclope que vivía en nuestras tierras.
De él contaban que era grande como una torre
Con solo un ojo en medio de la frente.
Que se dedicaba a cuidar a las ovejas y poner dólmenes en el monte.

Dos hermanos viajaban por el norte de los montes de Guipúzcoa.

Cuando se encontraron con el gigante.
Este los apreso y los encerró en una cueva, mirándoles con su único ojo les dijo:

• tu para hoy y tu hermano para mañana.
  Así sin pensarlo lo puso en una pica y lo aso.
  Cuando se lo estaba comiendo le dijo al pequeño:
  -Tú para mañana y para que no te escapes de la cueva te pondré este anillo mágico.
  El anillo hacia caso al cíclope. Cuando preguntaba ¿dónde estás?
  El anillo contestaba ¡aquí estoy!
  Como se podía escapar.
  Pensó y pensó.
  Casi rozaba el alba.
  No podía salir de la cueva ya que tenía que pasar por encima del Torto.
  Entonces pensó en las ovejas si las dejaba escapar y él se cubría con una piel
  Así lo hizo, el Ogro se puso a rescatar a las ovejas y entre una y otra él se escapó.
  El Torto pregunto al anillo donde estaba y el anillo le contestó.
  Entonces el fugado sacó un cuchillo pequeño que tenía escondido en las botas y se cortó el dedo, había un pozo y tiró el anillo dentro.

  When they met the giant.
  He caught them and locked them in a cave, looking at them with his one eye told them:

  Cuando el Torto preguntó otra vez el anillo contestó desde el fondo del pozo.
  Estaba tan ofuscado en buscarlo, que se tiró al pozo de cabeza.
  Cuenta la leyenda que jamás volvió a vérsele en nuestras tierras.
  La gente vivió sin su temor.

When the Torto asked again the ring answered from the bottom of the well.
I was so obfuscated in looking for him, that he threw himself into the head pit.
Legend has it that it was never seen again in our lands.
The people lived without their fear
