It's tasty Tuesday again!
I wonder what @myjob, @hans001 and @jeanlucsr and @wonderwop had for dinner.
**It is still cold outside (still winter too). My pantry isn't empty yet, but I decided to go out and buy some fruit and salad. I think my period of eating soup has come to an end. I have a need for salad.
Inside the supermarket it was warm
too warm. The salad felt warm and looked old to me. Too old, so I decided to buy one of these packages with mixed salads (and some corn).
I made my own dressing out of mayonaise and dill. Dill is one of the herbs I like and use most and it is healthy (like nearly every herb).
Years ago there was a commercial at the Dutch national TV promoting meat.
The slogan was "Every Wednesday minced-meat-day".
Well today it was minced-meat-day with us again. It was cheaper and the pups had to eat. What was left over was ours.
I prepared it for us and added: 1 egg and some spices, fried the balls in a pan, added tomato ketchup to it , water and bay leaves (also healthy)
At first I didn't intend to make mashed potatoes, but I did so because of the gravy.
I have a pepper with garlic mill which I used for the tomatoes. I never bought it, it suddenly was there. I think my son in law bought it once and left it behind.
Might be it's minced-meat-day next week again.

@wakeupkitty is minced meat the same as what we call hamburger meat? It looks the same, we had it tonight but I made a meatloaf out of it, I mix bell pepper, onion, dill, oregano, rosemary, an egg, bread crumbs, and a little ketschup together and I put ketschup on top of it before baking.
Yes it is the same although I think hamburger officially is made with beef meat like steak tartare.
Minced meat can be all kinds of: chicken, pork, Turkey, beef or a mix. It is easy for the dogs to eat and with egg its a complete meal.
You made the meatloaf... the meatballs are frequently eaten in Holland. Also as a snack... they are small. I will try your mix next time.

@wakeupkitty do you make your own dog food?
Yes I do as much as possible. They get raw meat, eggs with scales and bones. Sometimes left over of what I cooked. Always give the water I boiled our vegetables or rice in to them as well. At times I Cook some pasta for them.
Dogfood gives them diarrhea. I only have some in cases of need during winter if I cannot leave because the road is too muddy.
