Random Act Of Kindness.
On Saturday, I went for my football training. I just love keeping fit and playing football. The training was intense, fun and really fun at the same time. I was heading back from my football training and we decided to take a stroll; my friend and I since we go through the same route. As we were strolling and talking about one of my favourite topics; relationship, (I will give you the gist later), I noticed a bike man dropping off a lady. Remember I said the training was intense, so my friend thought of taking the bike that just dropped this lady.
In the spirit of a joke, my friend called half the price we were supposed to take the bike and the bike man agreed. I am sensitive and I just knew something was off. I sensed spite and a little bit of attitude and right there, the lady this bike man dropped off was still standing by the roadside, quietly but with a look of disdain. I asked the bike man what happened and he said this lady gave him the location she was going and she later said this man should go a little farther. The bike man quoted his price but the lady felt it was too high, so the bike man dropped her and asked her to pay at least an amount since they were already halfway but the lady refused.
I walked up to this lady and asked her what happened. She was really quiet and calm and all she could say was the man didn’t even tell her the amount he wanted to collect. From the look of things, I sensed this lady doesn’t understand the language of this bike man. The man is Yoruba and this lady looks like Igbo. It was obviously a case of miscommunication.
I had to ask the bike man how much he is willing to take and he said it, I gave him the money and asked him never to utter a word against this lady since he has already been paid and I asked the lady to join the bike and go to her destination. I begged her never to utter any word too. She climbed, said thanks and they left.
