I speak against it and I detest it. Rape is never a good thing. It shatters the world of the rape victim and they lose their sense of worth. They resort to withdrawing from the society and they are robbed of the value they could have added to the world at large.
The stigma the society labels them with always seem to affect them and trail them everywhere they go, once it has been made known, and this is why so many of the victims suffer in silence and would rather not talk about it. The truth is, men are also being raped but it is an uncommon occurrence compared to the ladies. It is expected and sometimes laughable to know a man, with all his strength and presence could be raped by a lady, but these things happen. A man can be raped too, and it would take a conscious, deliberate and calculated effort from the female clan to perpetrate this.
I am not here to talk about the men perspective; I am here to talk in general about rape; whether the one carried out by the men or the women. The bottom line is, rape is never a good thing. It creates a mental block in the life of the victim and it disrupts the course of the victim’s life.
I saw on Instagram yesterday about how three guys raped another student in the same school and the institution is now trying to cover it up to protect their own name, but it still got out anyway. Everything is wrong with the approach the institution took. You are supposed to have a moral ground and punish those students by rusticating them and also handing them over to the appropriate law enforcement agency; that is the only way they can save the name of their institution rather than covering it up. It would also send a warning signal to other students who might want to perpetrate such inhumane act.
