Yummy Thumbprint Appetizers

INGREDIENTS:

two cups shredded Cheddar cheese
one cup all-purpose flour
six tablespoons chilled butter, sliced
half cup hot pepper jelly

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preparation Period: 15 minutes
Cooking Period: 10 minutes
Prepared In: 55 minutes

Mix Cheddar cheese, flour, and butter in a food processor till dough is a coarse-meal texture and forms into a ball. Cover dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for thirty minutes.

Shape dough into one and half-inch balls and put one inch apart on a baking sheet.

Bake in the preheated oven for five minutes. Eliminate from oven; press thumb into top of each ball, creating an indentation. Spoon about one teaspoon pepper jelly into indentation. Bake till edges are golden brown, about five minutes.
