Oats are one of the most nutritious and complete cereals in existence, as they have properties that considerably favour our organism. Among them, its high content in fiber, proteins and energy stand out, reason why it is ideal for the first hours of the morning, today it provokes me a milkshake of oats with banana and I share with you this family recipe, to maintain me healthy and well fed, after making a long walk.

Oatmeal and banana shake.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of oatmeal

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 2 Glasses of Milk

  • 2 tablespoons sugar

  • 4 cups of water

Instructions

To make this nutritious oatmeal and banana shake, we must leave the ingredients ready. I like ripe bananas for a sweeter flavor, but green bananas can be used if you prefer.

Place the oatmeal in a large bowl and cover with water. Let the oats soak for at least two hours. If we prefer, we can soak it overnight.

After the soaking time, drain the oats and place them in the blender. Apart, we peel the bananas, we cut them and we incorporate them also to the blender.

Pour the milk into the blender glass and add the sugar to prepare the oatmeal milkshake.

Beat all the ingredients well until no lumps remain. If it is very thick, we can add a little more milk. Also, we always have the option of straining the oatmeal milkshake to obtain a softer preparation.

That's it! We serve the oatmeal and banana shake and enjoy it as a breakfast or snack, accompanied by biscuits. And if you like it, you can sprinkle some powdered cinnamon on top. You should keep the fruit milkshake in the fridge in an airtight jar. It can last a maximum of four days.
