Zucchini Meatball Casserole

An easy prepared meal and that taste great.

Ingredients:
1 16.3 oz Pillsbury Grand
24oz jar of Ragu( Chunky Garlic)
1 Zucchini chopped
2 14oz bags of Armour Italian Meatballs
Sour cream optional
16oz of Mozzarella Cheese graded
Oregano for flavor
1 Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

2 Place meatballs in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on MEDIUM for 3 to 5 minutes or until meatballs are thawed.

3 Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Cut each biscuit into 8 pieces; cut up zucchini. Add favorite pasta sauce; toss to coat. Spoon and spread mixture in sprayed baking dish. I added sour cream, because my wife is not a red sauce fan.

4 Place meatballs on top

5 Bake at 375°F. for 30 to 40 minutes or until edges are deep golden brown and biscuit pieces are no longer doughy. Sprinkle with cheese; bake an additional 2 to 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

Sort:  

When do the biscuits go in? Are they coated with sauce mixture under the meatballs? Not clear on when the biscuits go in to assemble. Looks great but not sure how to do it.

Biscuits go in first, then zucchini, sauce and then meatballs on top.
