In our recent daily music series, curated and promoted by @recordpool we focused on the Boogie Nite, fluently drifting between disco and house. Today we are going one step forward with Max Graef - a young Berliner with a unique ability of escaping musical conventions into something fresh, new, own. In Vino Rossetto, produced together with Labudzinski we can find many influences from the different, opposite sites of the electronique - from house to acid, including funky instruments and downtempo.

Since the youngest years Max was surrounded by music and instruments, interested in every way of creating sounds. He had drumming lessons since he was eight years old and in age thirteen he played guitar. Since the first release in 2012, Max Graef established his position on the stage with two highly acclaimed LP and few EP's released through various institutions including his own labels Box Aus Holz and Money $ex Records or legendary Ninja Tune next to of the artists like Amon Tobin, Mr.Scruff, Coldcut or The Cinematic Orchestra. In 2018 he released a LP together with Julius Conrad as a duo called RATGRAVE. Max is also involved into the big project with live instruments - electronic psychedelic jazz-rock Max Graef Band also known as Torben Unit.

Upcoming new LP from Max Graef was announced by Tartelet Records (same label which released his first LP called Rivers Of The Red Planet) with a release date set up for 26.10.2018. As the artists explained, it is going to be a quite experimental and open-minded project. You can listen to the clips here
No Hablo is a lot more intuitive with a lot less editing, raw arrangements, filled with experiments of strange instrumentation and rooms. I worked on it in a very unmusical way.”
