Song of the day - Nicola Francesco Haim (1678-1729) -Quatro Sonate di Camara

in #recordpool6 years ago

Today I share with you four sonatas performed on the violin and basso continuo by the Italian composer Nicola Francesco Haim (1678-1729).

Francesco Haym, was also cellist in the orchestra of Pope Pietro Ottoboni (1667-1740), theater director, libretist and numismatist. That is, a scholar from the historical, artistic and economic point of view of the coins.

This one would have fun with the criptocurrencies :D

His work as librettist is directly linked to the operas of Gerog Friederich Händel (1685 - 1759) in the Italian language, like Giulio Cesare in Egitto (HWV 17, 1724), Rodelinda (HWV 19) among others. A great person responsible on diffusion of the "Serius Opera" in its native tongue in English soil.

The works I bring you are a series of 4 pieces from his collection of VI camera sonatas. All four movements, alternate slow works and fast. They can be performed on the transverse flute, oboe, or solo violin accompanied by continuous bass (instrumental training dedicated to accompaniment). In a recording of Camerata Respighi, with Alessandra Talamo to the violin, accompanied by Stefano Rocco in the strings, Daniele Proni harpsichord, and Federico Ferri to the violoncello, in March of 2005.

  1. Sonata in C minor: Largo - Vivace - Adagio - Allegro
  2. Sonata in D minor: Adagio - Allegro - Adagio - Allegro
  3. Sonata in C minor: Adagio - Allegro - Adagio - Allegro
  4. Sonata in La minor: Largo - Allegro - Largo - Allegro

A great hug!

  1. Sonata em Do menor: Largo - Vivace - Adagio - Allegro
  2. Sonata em Re menor: Adagio - Allegro - Adagio - Allegro
  3. Sonata em Do menor: Adagio - Allegro - Adagio - Allegro
  4. Sonata em La menor: Largo - Allegro - Largo - Allegro

Um grande abraço!
