In a relationship, you need to be sensitive to your partner’s feelings. It would save you a whole lot of issues and hold you back from doing certain things that could hurt him or her. Just because they are not complaining about it doesn’t mean they are not suffering from it. He or she might decide to keep quiet for the sake of peace but even your partner doesn’t know his or her own limit until you push such person to the edge and that doesn’t bode well for your relationship. Don’t overdo things. Be sensitive to their feelings, their tone of voice, their facial reactions too. Seek to always make each other happy.
Also, be sensitive about their affection. This is where romance comes into play. As a husband or as a wife, you need to be sensitive to the affection of your spouse. Note his or her love language, pick up the signals and go all out. This brings about a great feeling of excitement. There are some partners that crave attention, you need to be sensitive.
Be sensitive to when your partner needs care. Little things like this matters. I have heard people break up over a little thing as on how to press toothpaste tube, let alone not showing enough care when your partner is down.
Be sensitive to how you express yourself. Choose your words carefully and that matters a lot because it makes you avoid saying hurtful things to your partner. Trust me, there are no-go areas even in altercations. Be sensitive not to go for the jugular hahaha.
Also, be sensitive to the mood of your partner. You guys should be best of buddies and then joke about all things, but watch out for the mood, so you know when to joke about certain things and when not to even try it at all.
No one is perfect and as long as we live, we can’t be but we should always strive to be better than we were. As for that young lady, she needs to make up her mind and not allow two lives to be put on hold because of her indecision. A decision needs to be made and you need to stick with it, not because that’s what your father wanted, but because that is what you truly desire too. Marriage is a personal business, watch of for externalities.
