Attractiveness is not enough for you in choosing a partner. Other aspect of things need to be considered. If you are only with her because she is attractive, then when she gets pregnant you might have to run away, because you will see other aspect to her that you never envisage. Her face will puff up, her body swollen, the shape you always crave for might become round now.
Responsibility will also set in and when that sets in, you won't even see the beauty. You won’t even see the beauty when responsibility piles on you too. We sometimes focus too much on the beauty and forget there are situations that might spring up. Whatever her character is you’ll see the value in marriage. Temperament matters too. As a young man, we don’t pay enough attention to it. We sometimes get carried away with looks, until the marriage becomes hell.
Marriage requires a lot of hard work and the earlier we start bracing ourselves for it, the better it would be for us and the easier it would be to adjust when we are in it. The problem is, most people have a lot of expectations before marriage and when they see something else in it, they feel like the weight of the world is crashing on them. Marriage requires a lot of great mindset. No one knows it all, as whatever you think you know, marriage would still find a way to surprise you. We need to look beyond a lady being pretty. Being pretty doesn't confer on her the right to marriage and i can say the same for guys too. Just because the guy is handsome, that doesn't confer on him the rights to being responsible. Beauty is not everything. There are a lot more to marriage than beauty. Let it be a plus.
We can save a lot of relationship hazards when we get our priorities right. There are some things that are important but not necessary. We all want beauty, God knows i love it too, but the bottom line is, don't let it be the only criteria or the only thing you see in her. There is more to her than just her beauty, you just haven't taken your time to unfold her mystery. Beauty is also in the eyes of the beholder and being beautiful is relative. Dig deeper. She is more than just a piece of art. She has other goodness embedded in her, fan it into flame. Help her discover herself and fall in love with that too, not just her beauty. Same goes for the guys.

Looks are more like an icing on the cake not the real deal (well, be sure to make the cake tasty so the icing is appreciated more. lol).
There is sure something more deeper and more beautiful than looks. Having something deeper to hold on to will definitely go a long way in making marriage work.

You have to do what's best for you. It is not something i can convince you about if you don't feel good about it. The first question is, why are you afraid?

You have seen or heard friends kill each other too, did it stop you from having friends? No. You have seen lot of crimes in this world and still didn't stop you from living. Arguments will always happen, especially in a relationship...that shouldn't make you scared. A lot of patience is needed in marriage. Rather than run from it, build yourself up for it. You will be fine, my friend.
