Regardless what we think of Steemit, it sure is a great place to be to keep up with all the crypto stuff around the world. Today I read this post by one of our community members, @chadstretton. He introduced Aussie Digital to us. I'm not sure why exactly, but this time I acted differently to what I usually do and went straight to the Aussie Digital website (here) and thoroughly read what the team had to say about their crypto service and coin AUDcoin.

REWRITING THE FUTURE OF E-COMMERCE ON BLOCKCHAIN

This is the slogan used by Aussie Digital, and maybe that is what drew my interest. Whenever something like e-commerce, marketplace or other words are used, it indicates some sort of webservice through which one can market service and goods. And what is better in cryptoworld then having a marketplace! Crypto desperately needs services where we cannot only earn crypto but also are able to spend it. Unlike most companies launching crypto coins and tokens, Aussie Digital seems to understand what it takes to launch a crypto currency.

According to their own roadmap/timeline, they came up with the idea back in 2016. Three years later they are almost ready to launch Tradezy (website here).

What is Tradezy about?

Simple answer: Tradezy is an online marketplace giving a platform to small businesses to sell their services and goods. I would imagine something like Etsy.

The team writes with regard to why their service is different to many crypto initiatives:

One of the elements to solve when using a new coin with a service, is the ability to buy and sell the coin. To make it easy for users, Aussie Digital is developing an online trading exchange.

Through our exchange you’ll have the ability to exchange our coins and many other reputable coins. We like to refer to our exchange as the "Engine Room" as it plays a big part in our Ecommerce Platform and allows our retailers to accept any coin we have on the exchange.

Retailers will have the ability to automatically convert their sale to their chosen currency in real time which takes out some of the worry caused through volatility and freeing up their time, so they can concentrate on business.

In parallel the team is working on Tradezy, the heart of the platform. The cool thing is the fact this marketplace will not only work with crypto, but also with fiat money. I must say: That is a great way of approaching the crypto world! WHY? Well, because the fact fiat money can also be used, this takes away the barriers crypto based services usually have because of its complexity.

What does Tradezy do for users to Earn digital Assets?

In essence, Tradezy allows the shopper to earn crypto currency, simply by shopping. On top of that staking is also possible and earn you some coins. Now, we will have to wait until the service is up-and-running to know the exact implementation of the rewards program, but certainly the promise of such service is pretty cool.

Social Elements

As with all the big marketplaces we know, Tradezy will also feature a social community service.

To help buyers and sellers connect, an Internal Social Media Platform will be introduced. This can be used by anyone in our Community for business or for pleasure. Promote a product or business or simply connect with new friends. Import contacts from other platforms and get new people involved. Let people in our/ your community know of an upcoming event. It’s there for members to use how they wish and to support the Community.

Maybe the Coolest Feature of All

For the reasons given by the Aussie Digital team here below, I really like what they are trying to bring to us with the power of group buying feature.

They are so true with regard to international sales: Many shoppers won't buy products from the smaller value category when the shipping fees are relatively high in relation to the total order value. One thing many existing marketplaces can learn from. KUDOS!

This is a unique platform allowing ordinary people to form Buying Groups with other like-minded members to team up and buy products.
