TITLE: The Richest Man In Babylon

AUTHOR: George S. Clason

PAGES: 58

SUMMARY: The book started with a brief description of Babylon, how Babylon made its riches from almost nothing, just a fertile soil and water. They had no stones or mines but made so much riches that there has not been any known city more glamorous than Babylon. It later became a deserted city when the energizing human forces that built and maintained it where withdrawn .

It also entails other stories such as the richest man in Babylon, seven cures for a lean purse { (i)start thy purse to fattening (ii) control thy expenditures, (iii) make thy gold multiply, (iv) guard thy treasures from loss, (v) make of thy dwelling a profitable investment, (vi) insure a future income, (vii) increase thy ability to earn.}, meet the goddess of good luck, the five laws of gold {(i) gold comes gladly and increasingly to the man that sets aside not less than one-tenth of his earning for his future, (ii) gold labors diligently and contentedly for the owner that finds profitable employment that multiplies it, (iii) gold clings to the owner who invests it under the advice of men wise in its handling, (iv) gold slips from the man who invests it in business or purposes that he is not familiar with and is not approved by men skilled in its handling, (v) gold flees from men that force it to impossible earnings}, the gold lender of Babylon, the walls of Babylon, the camel trader of Babylon and the clay tablet from Babylon.

REVIEW: The book is full of wisdom on how to manage money, multiply money and make money. It was an interesting read, very precise with good use of simple English, actual experience in form of stories one relate with and learn from.
FAVOURITE CHARACTER: Nosmair
FAVOURITE SCENES OR LESSONS: Your background can’t stop you from achieving what you want to. Men of action are favored by the goddess of good luck. Man can achieve greatness using whatever is at his disposal.
