Review of the film "Max Steele" (2016)

I was going to enjoy watching the movie "Max Steele", filmed by American and British filmmakers in the genre of fantastic action and adventure in 2016.

For the first time in my life, I wished I had read the reviews of this film before I started watching it. I didn't find any positives.

Yes, and the statistics are not in his favor. With a budget of $ 11 million, rental revenues were only $ 6.5 million.

What can you tell about this film?

The fact that it is based on the line of toys "Mattel", enjoyed great popularity at the end of the last century.

And this is not the first attempt to create a picture of this plan. In 2013, the animated series with the same name was released, which also had no success as the new film, although it managed to visit the television screens of our country.

What do we see in the plot of this film?

The fact that one small town moves a family consisting of the widow Molly and her sixteen-year-old son max McGrath.

Actually, he will be a key figure in this film, because he, as soon as he appears here, begin to manifest extraordinary abilities - he begins to generate energy, it literally oozes out of his fingertips. What to do with it and how to control it, tell him some mysterious creature named Steele, appeared out of nowhere. Incomprehensible, but very nice, and even with such a sense of humor, which is not observed in ordinary people.

Perhaps this is the only character that is visible against the background of others. It seems that it is Steele who is the key figure of this film.

It is he who will open max's eyes to the fact that he is not an Earthman, that his father came to Earth from another planet, and he, Steele, was his friend, so he helps max to fight the forces of evil. Together, they were able to fight back the evil aliens who came to Earth, and defeat their leader.

The story is pretty boring, the dynamics of the person is not traced.

Actors - Ben Winchell, Maria Bello, Andy Garcia, Ana Villafane, Mike Doyle and others play it like you just work out your fee.

I did not like the picture of the film. Despite the fact that it has a lot of special effects, it looks pretty pale. Well, except that the costumes of the main characters during the battles look quite impressive.

Perhaps the film might go children 12 to 18 years, and then watch it again, they're also unlikely to want.
